8. Comments on site usage

The level of site usage seems low when one considers the number of potential participants.

Based on Jacob Nielsen's comments about website usability, we could do somewhat better

Jacob reports that around 90% of visitors are lurkers who don't contribute, 9% contribute from time to time, and 1% are very active. On the RMF site that would equate to 270 occasional contributors and around 30 frequent contributors.

In actuality, while around 225 participants have visited the site in four months, a core list of 10 participants visits the site every month and about eight of these contribute regularly.
